The Mouse Deer and the Tiger

In a dense jungle, there lived a clever mouse deer. One day, while taking a walk, he met a hungry tiger. The tiger said, "Hey Mouse Deer, you will be my meal today!" The clever mouse deer did not panic. He said, "Mr. Tiger, don't eat me. I can show you a place full of fresh meat." The curious tiger followed the mouse deer.

The mouse deer led the tiger to the riverbank. There, the mouse deer said, "Mr. Tiger, in this river there is meat tastier than mine. Look into the water!" The tiger looked down and saw his own reflection in the water. Foolishly, the tiger thought it was another tiger with meat. Without thinking, the tiger jumped into the river to catch the reflection. The river water was deep and swift, so the tiger almost drowned.

With great difficulty, the tiger managed to climb back to the riverbank. He was angry because he felt tricked. However, the mouse deer had already run away. The tiger chased the mouse deer, but the mouse deer ran into thick bushes. The big tiger could not enter the bushes. The mouse deer hid safely. The tiger finally gave up and went to look for other prey.

Since then, the tiger became more cautious. He realized that cleverness could defeat strength. The mouse deer continued to live cleverly in the forest, always alert to danger. He used his wits to avoid his enemies.
